Now that you have your Facebook Profile set-up correctly, (You did read my other Facebook posts..right?) you will want to create a Facebook Page for you business, hobbies or favorite causes.

First let me answer some of those questions you are screaming at your computer right now..

1.   What’s the difference between a normal Facebook account/profile and a “page”?

When you create your Facebook account, you are required to use your “real name”, “real information” and be a “real person” not a company or business.  This is called your personal profile.  As of this writing, Facebook will allow you to have up to 5000 friends on this personal account.

Facebook seems intent on telling the world all my secrets.  Now they also seem intent on spreading all my friend’s secrets as well.

What are the new Facebook Instant Personalization Settings and Why Should You Care:

The Instant Personalization settings allows Facebook to share your “likes” and “interests” with external websites, aka other marketers websites.  Which means every time you click on that cute little “like” button, some hungry salesman or marketing group can now target you as a prospective conquest.   Ok, so maybe it’s not quite that bad… yet!
